Ron Burgundy (Ferrell) is the top-rated anchorman in San Diego in the '70s. As feminism makes its way across the country, it marches into the newsroom in the form of a beautiful anchorwoman, Veronica Corningstone (Applegate). Ron plays along at first because Veronica is not seen as a threat to his position. On one fateful evening Ron is not able to make it to the newsroom on time and Veronica hosts a very successful broadcast. When its decided that Ron and Veronica will co-host the news every night, it turns to war in the newsroom.

Anchorman is a blast from the past comedy that is completely unpredictable. Everything Will Ferrell does is absolutely hilarious and outrageous! Applegate is a wonderful co-star and can play off of everything that Ferrell can dish out. The movie even has an all-star supporting cast made up of the most hilarious people in hollywood today! On top of all this you have a plot line that is interesting and carries you through the movie. Each of these reasons are what makes it a must see comedy.
